SIP (software keyboard) for Pocket PC devices is using
new TapTap Technology (www.taptaptech.wz.cz) I have developed especially for this project .
As you can see from the screenshots bellow this SIP is not regular one
like the others which are only making bigger controls. This SIP using
the new technology is opening new way of text inputing and ever
controling applications on small touch displays (e.g. 2.8" touch
displays) using big controls without reducing operating space of the
application. This SIP can be operated easily with only one hand and
single taps. There are no gestures or other less accurate controling
ways. Typing with TapTap Keyboard is not very fast but this is not the
purpose of this SIP what is designed to offer you the most comfortable
way of text inputing. Of course you must get used to it what takes some
time but this is similar to all things which are new.I hope you will find this SIP very usefull and essential application in your Pocket PC.
the screenshots of TapTap Keyboard:
single tap you can select char group (or e.g. change char panels to
number char groups...) e.g. you will select first char group what
contains small letters "a", "b", "c", "d", "e", "f" and "g".
you can choose char/letter what you want to write or you can
use other buttons like space, backspace, enter and buttons to change char panels (small/big letters, numbers, special
chars...) or to return to previous char panel.
This SIP is working on Windows
Mobile 5/6/6.5/6.5.3, it's for international users and also supports Czech and Slovak language. To download
please use any downloader like Download Accelerator etc. (this is low quality free hosting).

Some Windows Mobile 6 users has problems
with my keyboard (it can't be loaded even they tap on it in SIP
selecting on the bottom-center of the display). I have searched on the
forums and found out that this is problem of some builds of Windows
Mobile 6 (when you have more-memory-consuming application/s on
startup). On Windows Mobile 5 (all builds) it is working without any
problems. It working without problems even in Windows Mobile 6.1 v5.2.19701 (build 19400.1.0.0).
This application is licenced under GNU GPL and can be freely distributed for personal use. If you want to use this technology for your own project please contact me.
I want to thanks these people without them this all wouldn't be possible:
Patrick Getzmann of MSDN Forums - He practically saved my SIP project because with my poor C++ skills I couldn't finish it.
Rene Stein of CE4YOU Forums - He helped me a lot with reading from Unicode text file.
Jiri Valerian of BUILDER.CZ Forums - He helped me a lot with loading bitmaps from external file and with optimizing the code.
Saman of CE4YOU Forums - He helped me with final problem with my SIP (canvas height/width).
Christopher Fairbairn of MSDN Forums - He helped me a lot with replacing BMP images with PNG images.
